Welcome to I.M. Vermont

We are the residents of a small academic internal medicine residency located in Burlington, Vermont. Our training hospital, Flecther Allen, serves as both a community hospital and a tertiary care center, and the residency is closely integrated with the Unversity of Vermont and its medical school. We believe we receive excellent medical training, have opportunities to do cutting edge research, and are able to maintain lives outside of the hospital.

Add one more to our family


We are happy to announce the birth of Bhuvan Bhadra, son of Krishnendu & Christiani Bhadra.

Krish is a former fav UVM medicine resident, now UVM Pulmonary/Critical Care fellow. Both mom and the baby are at home doing well. Bhuvan is a Sanskrit based name meaning "of the earth" and was born September 14th, 2008 while Krish was on call (is convenient the word I'm looking for?).

Bhuvan weighs in at 6 lbs 10 ounces. Christiani was quite the strong mother, and delivered Bhuvan in clear German efficiency with no problems.

When asked how he felt about his new title of "father" Krish replied,


"Its great being a dad, I do not think I appreciated it till now. I'm going
to put a bronchoscope in his hands so that he can be one with
the scope..."

No pressure Bhuvan...Nice to meet you.
